Bleeding

What to do: Apply direct pressure with a clean cloth or bandage.
How to do: Elevate the wound above heart level if possible.
Medicine: Antiseptic and sterile bandage.

Burns

What to do: Run cool (not cold) water over the burn for 10–15 minutes.
How to do: Do not use ice. Cover with sterile gauze.
Medicine: Burn creams or aloe vera gel.

Choking

What to do: Perform Heimlich maneuver.
How to do: Stand behind, make fist and thrust upward under ribcage.
Medicine: None; act immediately.

Fainting

What to do: Lay the person flat and elevate their legs.
How to do: Loosen tight clothes, give fresh air.
Medicine: Only if advised after medical help.

Nosebleed

What to do: Sit upright, lean slightly forward.
How to do: Pinch nostrils together for 10 minutes.
Medicine: Saline spray if dryness is the cause.

Heart Attack

What to do: Call emergency services immediately.
How to do: Keep person calm and seated.
Medicine: If available, give aspirin (unless allergic).

Seizure

What to do: Clear the area around the person to prevent injury.
How to do: Place something soft under their head, turn them on their side.
Medicine: Only prescribed meds after seizure ends.

Stroke

What to do: Call emergency services immediately.
How to do: Note time of symptoms, keep person calm.
Medicine: None unless prescribed. Time is crucial.

Fracture

What to do: Immobilize the limb.
How to do: Use a splint or padding, avoid moving the injured part.
Medicine: Painkillers under guidance.

Asthma Attack

What to do: Help person sit upright and stay calm.
How to do: Use their inhaler (usually blue reliever).
Medicine: Inhaler, 2 puffs every 30–60 seconds (max 10 puffs).

Poisoning

What to do: Identify the substance and call poison control or emergency.
How to do: Do not induce vomiting unless advised.
Medicine: Activated charcoal (only if advised).

Electric Shock

What to do: Disconnect the source of electricity.
How to do: Use a dry, non-metallic object. Do not touch victim with bare hands.
Medicine: CPR if unresponsive. Call emergency.
